As a Conservative Party pressure group, Blue Collar Conservatism is a grassroots campaign forum giving hard-working British voters a way of getting their voices heard. We believe working people stand to benefit most from Conservative policies designed to maximise opportunity and empower them in how they live their lives.

Since May 2019, we have campaigned for above-inflation pay rises for public sector workers; a police covenant acknowledging the work and sacrifices made by officers; more police on the streets to combat rising crime; tougher sentences for the worst criminals and an end to automatic early release; additional spending on schools across the UK; and improved regional transport networks as a key element of powering up the regions.

With well over 100 Conservative MPs in support, we successfully put these ideas on the government's agenda. We are delighted with the wholesale adoption by the Party's leader of our policies to champion working people. But there is still work to do.  

 

Blue Collar Conservatism has shaken up politics and defined the recent general election. Many working people lent us their votes for the first time based on the promises we made and we now have to fulfil them.

Boris and his team have a clear plan for this country with Blue Collar Conservatism at its heart. It resonated with all sorts of people from all walks of life and led to an amazing result that will transform our country forever for the better. As the Prime Minister made clear on the steps of Downing Street in December 2019, the hard work begins now. We look forward to working with him to deliver.
